Breaking Through - to me this is a double meaning. It seems as though there is something under the waters in this piece, ready to break through the water. I often picture a beautiful blue whale about to breach!
But also, I painted this at a time when I could feel a break through in my life, a new season coming, some new doors I was about to push on.
The ocean is ever changing, a metaphor for freedom, breakthrough and new possibilities, on so many levels.
