We are never just one thing. Our emotions change and cascade as the days go by, and we can let them roll over us or take us under.
Life is hard and sometimes emotions are incredible, amazing, a phenomenal gift , and other times they are overwhelming, negative, and like obstacles we cannot see a way past.
Just as the waves of the ocean cascade over one another, often the most tumultuous waves can be the most stunning and create the most depth. And so it can be with our emotions. It's not all about what we are feeling, but what this may uncover and how they can help us grow.
When I have times of objectivity, I can see beauty in the waves of what I'm going through. Even thankfulness for my body and mind all they have been designed to get through. Beauty, hope and renewal can all be found in our cascading emotions.
However negative our emotions can feel, they are not what defines us. We are more than our feelings, our circumstances or our CV. We are humans - we are unique, breathtaking, beautiful, and we are loved.
